Back to School Night
Back to School Night will be Thursday, August 20, 2026 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. for Kindergarten-5th Grades!
Order of Events

6:00 pm: Receive important information, including how to keep Summit at a TITLE 1 status, as well as information on the upcoming school year. This will take place in our gym!

6:15 - 7:00 pm: Visit teacher classrooms, tour the school, and learn ways to volunteer through our PTA. Please set up a separate time to meet with your teacher if you have critical information to share about your child.
Letter from Principal Bassett
Dear Summit Elementary Families,
Welcome back Summit Eagles. I am so excited to get to know you and your families. This year our school theme is “Reach for the Stars.” With many new students this year, there will be some changes in our Positive Behavior Support Systems. We will be introducing our SOAR (be supportive, be optimistic, show accountability and be respectful) like an Eagle. Students will get the opportunity to be caught “SOARING” like an eagle and recieve 200 club tickets, learn about our BINGO board, and have the opportunity to be bragged about by the Ms. Bassett, the school principal.
The Summit family is excited to welcome the following to our team:

We invite you to join us for our Back to School Night on Thursday, August 20th, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The evening will start in the gym and then families and students will have the opportunity to become familiar with their classrooms and the school before the first day. Families will also be able to sign up for opportunities to participate with PTA-sponsored activities.
As principal, my door is always open and I welcome your input. I strongly believe that parental involvement is an essential component in the success of our students as well as our school. I look forward to seeing you soon!
